What makes Milo Programming so special?

What makes Milo Programming so special?

With over 12 years of experience working in fitness, there is no one better placed to programme Milo and the Bull workouts than our Head of Fitness Josh Cooper. Since the beginning of our Milo and the Bull Journey in 2019, the Milo Mission has been pretty simple:

Provide incredible workouts which deliver in every sense.

We look to challenge our members with thoughtfully programmed classes, which aim to build strength and endurance as well as leave people feeling incredible. We believe that one of the best aspects of Milo and the Bull is how unique our programming is. Working in twelve-week blocks, our trainers deliver your workouts with growth in mind.

When it comes to strength training, we work on a twelve-week rotation. Over the course of three months, we systematically increase our members' weights and lower their reps. This enables them to monitor progress as they slowly (or sometimes speedily) increase in strength. Each cycle is carefully structured with lower body and upper body-focused movements, which are complimented with accessory and mobility exercises.

Not only do we work on a rotation, but we also make sure that no workout is ever the same. When it comes to our circuit classes, we often work on four-week rotations, where we format our classes to test your workout capacity and cardiovascular endurance.

With our rowing classes, we carefully focus on improving your rowing efficiency. Our trainers will ensure your rowing technique is performed correctly throughout our classes, making sure that you make the most of every stroke you take. New to rowing? Don’t worry, you won’t be for long. With classes focusing on power, stroke rate and speed, we find that it doesn’t take long for our members to fall in love with our rowers, and start setting targets for themselves. Typically on a twelve-week rotation, we will work through a testing week, where we offer our members the opportunities to test what they have learned over previous weeks. This gives members the opportunity to set goals, track their progress and focus on their strengths as well as their weaknesses.

At weekends, Milo Programming is all about fun! We spend the weekend training hard in teams and putting everything our members have learned throughout the week into practice. Our weekend workouts are challenging, energetic and competitive, they often feature AMRAPs, rolling clocks and a lot of sweat.
