Milo Member Recipe: How to make your very own Poke Bowls

Amazing Milo Members Emily and Sarah have kindly shared their homemade Poke Bowl recipe with us. Follow the easy instructions below to create a delicious, nutritious and easy meal!

There’s no doubt, Poke Bowls have become increasingly popular across London, with Poke Bars popping up all over the high street. Making your own Poke Bowl doesn’t need to be difficult though. Emily has created a quick and easy recipe to follow which is also the cost- effective option. As Poke Bowls are filled with nourishing fresh ingredients, they also make the perfect post-workout meal.

In Emily’s own words ‘Poke Bowls are a great way of including protein in your diet, with the inclusion of salmon, edamame Beans, tofu, and often tuna or chicken. These protein sources will leave us feeling satisfied alongside the inclusion of carbohydrates using either white or wholegrain rice of extra energy stores! Poke Bowls can also be a great way of including healthy fats in your diet, this comes from the addition of ingredients like cashews or avocado. Lastly, my favourite reason why I think Poke Bowls are a great meal to have is due to the variety of vegetables that can be included, such as squash, kale, carrots, cucumber and many more.!’
